The design and manufacturing processes are divided into four operating units in Italy - Reggio Emilia and Matera - plus a facility in China. They are organized according to Lean 6 Sigma methods for product and process excellence, with standards and procedures borrowed from the automotive industry. In particular, Comer Industries' Planetary Drives & Axles operating unit, located in Cavriago (Reggio Emilia), designs, manufactures and markets highly customized transmissions such as modular planetary drives, wheel drives and slewing drives mainly employed on mobile industrial equipments, stationary equipments and ecology industry.
